CookieYes, Cookiebot and Complianz alternatives: what 1, 5 and 25 sites really cost

Templates Rocket · Updated October 2026 · 7 min read

Most people looking for a CookieYes or Cookiebot alternative are not unhappy with the banner. They are unhappy with the bill: it grows with traffic, with pages or with every new client site. This page puts the four most common WordPress options side by side, with public list prices, so you can see which pricing model fits the sites you run.

We make one of them, Cookie Rocket Pro. We also say plainly where the others are the better choice.

Yearly cost at 1, 5 and 25 sites

List prices from each vendor's public pricing page, checked in October 2026, before taxes. CookieYes figures use annual billing; Cookiebot figures are monthly prices × 12 in euros, as its pricing page shows them. Free plans are left out because they cap pageviews or domains. Trademarks belong to their owners. Spotted an error? Tell us and we'll fix it.

The two pricing models, and why they matter

Metered: CookieYes and Cookiebot

Both are hosted platforms. Your site loads their script from their servers, consent records live in their account, and the price is per domain, per month. CookieYes meters pageviews; Cookiebot meters subpages, and its monthly scan can move you to a higher tier on its own when your site grows. For one small site the difference is a few dollars. For an agency with 25 client sites it is the largest line in the stack.

Flat: Complianz and Cookie Rocket Pro

Both are WordPress plugins that run on your own server. You pay once a year for a number of sites, traffic is unlimited, and consent records stay in your WordPress database. The choice between them comes down to price and to where your visitors are.

Which one to pick

  • Choose CookieYes or Cookiebot if you run AdSense or programmatic ads for visitors in the European Economic Area. Google requires a Google-certified consent platform for that, and both are certified. Cookie Rocket Pro is not. They are also the right call if your site is not on WordPress.
  • Choose Complianz if you want a long-established WordPress plugin with a large community and broad legal-document coverage for Europe.
  • Choose Cookie Rocket Pro if you run one or many WordPress sites and want the lowest flat price at every tier, or if your visitors include Mexico and Brazil. It applies each visitor's law (LFPDPPP in Mexico, LGPD in Brazil, GDPR in Europe, CCPA in the US), ships the banner in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and generates the Mexican privacy notice.

Before you switch, check three things

  1. Does the banner actually block? Open your site in a private window and watch the Network tab before you click anything. If Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel loads before consent, the banner is decoration.
  2. Is Google Consent Mode v2 set up? Without it, Google Ads and GA4 lose conversion modeling for visitors who decline. How to set it up on WordPress.
  3. Where do your consent records live? If someone asks for proof, you need the log. With a hosted platform it lives in their account; with a plugin it lives in your database.
