CookieYes vs Cookiebot (2026): price, limits and which to pick

Templates Rocket · Updated October 2026 · 6 min read

Short answer: both are Google-certified consent platforms with Consent Mode v2 on every plan. CookieYes is cheaper for one or a few sites and bills by pageviews. Cookiebot bills by subpages, gives far less on its free plan, and gets expensive past a handful of domains. For a WordPress site that does not need IAB TCF, a flat-priced plugin costs less than either.

From each vendor's public pricing page and WordPress.org listing, checked in October 2026, before taxes. CookieYes lists prices in USD with a 14-day trial on paid plans; Cookiebot lists them in EUR. Trademarks belong to their owners. Spotted an error? Tell us and we'll fix it.

Where CookieYes wins

  • Price for small sites. $100 a year covers a site up to 100,000 pageviews a month.
  • A usable free plan for a low-traffic site, with a WordPress plugin that works without connecting an account.
  • Ratings. Its plugin is the most reviewed of the two by a wide margin.

Where Cookiebot wins

  • Languages. Premium supports 47+ banner languages.
  • No pageview meter. A high-traffic site with few pages pays by subpages, not visits.
  • Daily scanning, if you need it and will pay for it.

The catch with both: the bill grows with you

Both bill per domain, per month. For one site the gap is small. At 5 or 25 client sites, the consent tool can become the biggest line in an agency's stack: 25 sites on CookieYes Basic run $2,500 a year, and on Cookiebot Small €4,500. Our cost comparison at 1, 5 and 25 sites lays it out.

A third option for WordPress

Cookie Rocket Pro is a WordPress plugin with a flat yearly price by number of sites ($49 for 1, $144 for 5, $297 for 25) and no pageview limits. It runs on your server, blocks trackers until consent, ships Consent Mode v2 (advanced in Pro), and applies each visitor's law, including Mexico's LFPDPPP and Brazil's LGPD. The free version on WordPress.org already includes blocking, Consent Mode v2, a scanner and a consent log.

When not to pick it: if you serve personalized AdSense ads to European visitors, Google requires a certified CMP with IAB TCF, and Cookie Rocket is not certified. Choose CookieYes or Cookiebot for that.
